The Organic Farm offers food and accommodations to people who want to volunteer on the farm. The Farm Stay or WOOFER program involves working 25 hours a week, usually 5 hours a day\/ 5 days a week, thus, giving time off for hiking, exploring and taking part in St. John’s night life. They have many things like whale watching, boat tours, scuba diving and what I did snorkelling. I went by myself, and everyone I met was so friendly. It was so much fun! It’s really cool taking a look at ocean wildlife up close and personal. We explored around Bell Island. We snorkelled in caves and got to see a side of bell island I hadn’t seen before but I feel lucky that I have. It was a life changing experience. \n\t\t\t\t<\/dd><\/dl> \n\t\t\t \n\t\t\t\t $\"\"$ <\/a>\n\t\t\t<\/dt>\n\t\t\t\t \n\t\t\t\tK: Cape St. Mary’s ecological reserve. The roads that took me there were beautiful, and I was happy to find breath taking landscape when I got there, it was well worth the drive. There was northern Gannets and their babies by the thousands! It was unlike anything I had ever seen before. It was nice to just sit and observe these birds flying around and tending to their babies. It’s something I will always remember. \n\t\t\t\t<\/dd><\/dl> \n\t\t\t \n\t\t\t\t $\"\"$ <\/a>\n\t\t\t<\/dt><\/dl> \n\t\t\t \n\t\t\t\t $\"\"$ <\/a>\n\t\t\t<\/dt>\n\t\t\t\t \n\t\t\t\tK: I am so happy that I came here to Newfoundland, because there is so much to see here. And so much to experience! I will definitely be coming back to this beautiful place. But what made it so easy was working on The Organic Farm, I had a free place to stay, delicious meals to eat everyday made by Melba, and all I had to do was help out on the farm by picking vegetables and berries. It was actually fun it didn’t feel much like work.
